Academic Advising Center

Progress

Welcome to Navigating the Swamp. The Academic Advising Center wants to help you succeed and maintain your good academic standing at the University of Florida.

At the University of Florida, students must maintain a minimum of a 2.00 cumulative GPA at the end of each term to be in good academic standing. Currently you are in good academic standing. However, the grade point average you have earned in your most recent semester was less than a 2.00.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) also requires that students achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA on all coursework each semester. As a result, you currently have an academic hold on your account that will prevent registration. We are concerned that you could potentially be on academic probation in the near future. Therefore, Navigating the Swamp is designed to facilitate your continued academic success. You can access Navigating the Swamp at UF e-learning’s Canvas.

As part of this program, you will be asked to watch a brief informational video that will highlight UF and CLAS resources and complete a brief quiz on your Canvas account by the deadline indicated in your e-mail. Upon successful completion of the quiz, your hold will be lifted within 3-5 business days.

We encourage you to meet with an academic advisor to discuss any additional questions you may have about your academic goals towards your path to success.
